You will be supported through a comprehensive six-week induction program, ongoing professional development opportunities, and a collaborative team environment where your contribution is valued. Through this role, you'll gain valuable experience supporting people with disability to pursue their goals, engage with the NDIS, and access the services they need to thrive.

As a Local Area Coordinator, you will work within the NDIS Local Area Coordination Service to support people with disability, their families and carers throughout their NDIS journey. Reporting to the Team Leader Local Area Coordination Service, you will assist participants with pre-planning, planning, plan implementation and reassessment, while also connecting individuals to mainstream and community supports. You will build relationships with community organisations, promote disability inclusion, and deliver participant-centred support that empowers people to exercise choice and control in achieving their goals.

To be successful, you will require:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders





- Knowledge of disability, gained through professional or lived experience

- The ability to problem solve, negotiate, manage competing priorities and achieve outcomes in a fast-paced environment

- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet service delivery targets and key performance indicators

- Intermediate computer skills and experience using digital systems and databases

- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

- A current Working with Children Check (Employee) (or willingness to obtain)
