Sales and Service Consultant — Mackay

Help individuals and families find health insurance that suits their needs while delivering exceptional service at our Mackay Care Centre. Join Westfund in a full-time sales and service role offering a 35-hour working week, five weeks’ annual leave and a salary of $67,888.16 plus superannuation.

Responsibilities include:

- Member Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with our members. Act as a trusted adviser by providing guidance on insurance options, coverage details and policy enquiries.
- Member Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding member service through phone, email and in-person interactions. Assist members in resolving enquiries, claims and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about health insurance industry trends and updates. Build a strong understanding of our products and services to educate members and make informed recommendations.
- Sales Expertise: Drive growth by promoting and selling health insurance products to potential members. Use persuasive communication skills to tailor solutions to individual member needs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to deliver a seamless member experience and address member needs efficiently and effectively.

What you’ll bring

- Formal qualifications are not required. We’re looking for someone with a positive, member-focused attitude and the ability—or willingness to learn—to:
- Build rapport with members and provide friendly, professional service across phone, email and face-to-face channels.
- Listen carefully,



ask effective questions and explain health insurance information in transparent, straightforward language.
- Identify individual needs and confidently recommend suitable products or solutions.
- Handle enquiries, concerns and competing priorities with empathy, accuracy and a practical approach.
- Learn new products, systems and processes, while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
