Role: WSG is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for a Major gas plant shutdown.

Location: Otway Gas Plant near Port Campbell, Victoria.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor and record test pressures, hold times, temperature, and results.
- Identify, troubleshoot,



and report leaks or non-conformances.
- Ensure safe depressurisation and disposal of test medium (water/glycol mix as applicable).
- Execute flange joint break-in and reassembly works as per company flange management procedure.
- Use calibrated torque/tensioning tools for controlled bolt tightening.
- Verify flange face condition and cleanliness prior to reassembly.
- Assist in flange leak testing and integrity verification.
- Support mechanical activities such as spool installation, line isolation, pressure relief device reinstatement, and valve fit-up.
- Carry out pre-start checks on tools and equipment, reporting any faults immediately.
- Perform housekeeping of work areas and ensure safe storage of tools/equipment.

Requirements:

- Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Shutdown or heavy industry experience
- Solid troubleshooting skills under pressure.
- BA Ticket
- Confined Space Entry
- Good communication skills with supervisors and team members.
- MSIC Card advantageous
