Zonzo Restaurant Pty Ltd t/as Zonzo Estate Yarra Valley, located in the heart of

Yarra Glen, is seeking an experienced full-time Chef to join its expanding team.

This unique venue has a relaxed yet professional approach to its food, with strong

focus on antipasto, pizze and share plates.

Job Description:

- Preparing and cooking food to a high standard and in accordance with regulations and policies

- Ensuring quality and presentation of dishes cooked

- Assisting the Head Chef to plan seasonal menus and specials

- Mentoring, and assisting in training and supervising junior chefs and kitchen staff

- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures

- Freezing and preserving food

- Assisting in monitoring stocks of food and kitchen supplies

- Assisting in checking food deliveries for quality, correct temperature and quantities

- Ensuring safe food storage and preservation in accordance with Food Safety Plan

- Ensuring that all food preparation areas and equipment are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene

- Ensuring compliance with hygiene and OH&S; regulations and procedures

- Monitoring booking numbers for the restaurant and ensuring that the appropriate amount of food is ordered and prepared





- Any other duties reasonably specified by the Director/Owner from time to time.

Successful Applicants will require the following:

- Australian working rights.

- Ability to travel to Zonzo Estate in Yarra Glen.

- Have experience in hand stretching dough.

- Experience working with a wood-fired pizza oven.

- Work efficiently under pressure during service.

- Self-motivated.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Available to work on weekends.

- A professional and dependable attitude.

- The ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.

- Food safety knowledge and relevant qualifications.
