About the role

GXR Plumbing & Gas is seeking a skilled Maintenance Plumber to join our team. GXR Plumbing & gas are located in Forrestdale, Western Australia location, originally based in Gosnells. This full-time role is an exciting opportunity to contribute your skills and expertise to a well-established maintenance plumbing company. As a valued member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance plumbing services to domestic and commercial clients across the Perth Metro area. You will assist with supporting business development, quoting for plumbing opportunities and scheduling jobs. We're looking for an experienced Plumber who wants to move into a leadership role where your knowledge is valued more than your labour, being on both the tools and in the office.

Key responsibilities

- Work independently or in a team to complete jobs

- Diagnose plumbing issues and determine the most effective repair solutions

- Follow directions given with Work Orders

- Plumbing maintenance & repairs; including but not limited to HWS, taps, toilets, blocked drains, gas appliances & burst pipes

- Respond to emergency service calls and resolve urgent plumbing issues promptly

- Maintain detailed records of maintenance work completed and materials used

- Receiving payments after jobs are completed

- Communicate effectively with customers regarding work performed

- Ensure all work complies with relevant plumbing codes, regulations and safety standards

- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order

- Maintain company vehicle

- Maintain a clean and organised work workplace

- Quote and schedule jobs when in the office

What we're looking for

- Current plumbing license or equivalent qualification recognised in Western Australia

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plumbing maintenance and repairs





- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems, materials and best practices

- Proficiency in diagnosing plumbing problems and implementing effective solutions

- Experience with gas fitting and compliance is highly desirable

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Valid driver's license

- A commitment to workplace health and safety standards

- Knowledge of ServiceM8 desirable but not essential

- A current Police clearance
