Limelight People is seeking experienced Remote Area Nurses for contract opportunities across the Northern Territory, including Alice Springs, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Nhulunbuy and surrounding remote communities.
These roles are ideal for experienced RNs looking to step into remote practice, as well as Emergency Nurses wanting to transition into Remote Area Nursing, with support available depending on the placement.
About the Role
- 4-12 week contracts, with extensions often available
- Opportunities across remote NT communities and clinics
- Primary health care, chronic disease management and acute care
- Emergency and urgent care presentations in remote settings
- On-call and after-hours responsibilities depending on location
- Work alongside Aboriginal Health Workers, visiting specialists and multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver culturally safe, community-centred care
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing autonomous primary health care in a remote setting
- Managing chronic disease and ongoing health conditions
- Assessing and treating acute and emergency presentations
- Supporting health promotion, education and preventative health initiatives
- Working collaboratively with Aboriginal Health Workers and other healthcare professionals
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and patient records
What We're Looking For
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Recent experience in Emergency, ICU, Primary Health, Urgent Care or Remote Nursing
- Remote or rural nursing experience highly regarded
- ALS / PALS and relevant emergency nursing competencies
- Pharmacotherapeutics qualification
- RIPERN or FLECC highly regarded
- Postgraduate qualifications in Remote Health,
Primary Health Care or Midwifery highly regarded
- Current National Police Check and required immunisation evidence
