About the Role

- 4-12 week Midwifery contracts, with extensions often available
- Core and MGP opportunities
- Opportunities across regional, rural and remote Queensland hospitals and health services
- Provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
- Support women and families throughout their maternity journey
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary maternity teams
- Opportunities across hospital-based and community maternity services
- On-call and after-hours responsibilities may apply depending on the location/ role.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide protected, evidence-based midwifery care
- Provide antenatal and postnatal assessment and care
- Support women throughout labour and birth
- Identify and respond appropriately to maternal and neonatal complications
- Provide education, support and health promotion to women and families
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health professionals
- Deliver culturally safe, respectful and woman-centred care

What We're Looking For

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Recent and relevant Midwifery experience




- Experience across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
- Regional or remote experience highly regarded
- FSEP / ALS / NRP or relevant maternity competencies advantageous, depending on the role
- Current National Police Check and required immunisation evidence
