AIC Services is seeking caring, reliable and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across Hobart and Launceston.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity for people who are passionate about supporting people with disability to live safely, independently and confidently in their community.

About the Role
Australian Independent Care Services is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Disability Support Worker to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The position will provide disability support services to participants across our service locations in:
Hobart TAS 7000
Launceston TAS 7250
The successful candidate will provide person-centred and individualised support to participants in accordance with their individual care and support plans. The role involves working across participant residences, Supported Independent Living (SIL) settings and community-based environments within the Hobart and Launceston service areas.
Your duties may include:
- Supporting participants with daily living activities
- Providing personal care and personal support where required
- Assisting participants to develop and maintain independence
- Supporting community access and social participation
- Assisting with meal preparation and household tasks
- Supporting participants to attend appointments and activities
- Providing transport support where required
- Supporting participants in Supported Independent Living environments
- Following individual support plans and behaviour support strategies
- Completing accurate shift notes and required documentation
- Maintaining professional boundaries and participant confidentiality
- Supporting participants with dignity, choice and respect
- Working collaboratively with families, colleagues and other professionals
- Following AIC Services policies, procedures and NDIS requirements
About You
We are looking for people who are compassionate, reliable and genuinely interested in supporting people with disability.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working as a Disability Support Worker or in a similar care role
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related qualification is highly regarded
- Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance, or ability to obtain one
- Current Working with Vulnerable People registration, where required
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Reliable transport
- Positive written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to complete clear and accurate shift documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A respectful and person-centred approach to disability support
Experience supporting participants with complex needs, behaviours of concern,
personal care or Supported Independent Living will be highly regarded.
Availability
Applicants should have positive availability across a range of shifts.
Depending on participant needs, shifts may include:
- Morning shifts
- Afternoon shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekends
- Public holidays
- Sleepover or overnight shifts
