Sales & Business Development – Civil Construction Training

South East Queensland | Full Time

Know the civil construction industry? Know how to build relationships and turn opportunities into business?

Civil Safety is looking for a motivated Sales & Business Development professional to join our team in South East Queensland.

We have a strong training capability and access to funded training opportunities across the region. Now, we’re looking for someone who can help us make better use of those opportunities – getting out into industry, building relationships with new clients and connecting businesses with training and funding that can support their workforce.

This is a hands-on sales role focused on new business, industry relationships and growth.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for developing new business across South East Queensland, with a strong focus on the civil construction sector.

Rather than waiting for enquiries to come in, we want someone who is comfortable getting out into the industry, starting conversations and building a strong pipeline of new clients and training opportunities.

You will:

- Proactively identify and develop new clients across South East Queensland

- Build relationships with civil construction businesses, contractors and industry contacts

- Generate leads and develop a strong pipeline of recent business

- Identify the training needs of businesses and their workforce

- Promote Civil Safety’s training courses and solutions

- Identify opportunities to utilise available government-funded training

- Help employers understand training options and potential funding opportunities available to them

- Convert opportunities into training bookings and student enrolments

- Work closely with our internal teams to ensure funding eligibility and training requirements are met





- Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business

Who We’re Looking For

Industry knowledge is important to us.

We want someone who understands the civil construction sector and can confidently speak with the people and businesses operating within it.

You’ll ideally bring:

- Experience within the civil construction industry or a strong understanding of the sector

- Previous sales, business development or new client acquisition experience

- Confidence approaching new businesses and developing relationships from the ground up

- A proactive approach to finding and pursuing new opportunities

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

- A commercial mindset and the ability to turn industry conversations into business opportunities

- The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the wider Civil Safety team

Experience within an RTO, VET or government-funded training workplace would be highly regarded, but isn’t essential if you bring strong civil construction industry knowledge and the ability to learn the funding landscape.
