About the role
We are looking for skilled Data Cabling Technicians based in the ACT with proven experience in installing, testing, and commissioning fibre optic infrastructure. Join a dedicated and motivated team of professionals working across various locations in the ACT, delivering exceptional results for some of the most well-known clients.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Experience with patch panels, patching of switches,
servers and other ICT equipment.
- Installation of optic fibre.
- Fault finding and testing experience.
- Splicing/ribbon splicing experience.
- Fluke testing.
- Understanding networks.
- Providing good customer service through interactions with clients.
Skills and experience
- A minimum of 3 years related communications/cabling experience.
- ACMA Open Cable Registration (Optic fibre and structured cabling endorsements) is essential.
- Electrical A grade qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Telecommunication Certificate III qualification.
- Security clearance - NV1 highly regarded.
- Vendor endorsements highly regarded.
- Construction white card.
- Asbestos and Silica Awareness training certs.
- Data Centre experience preferred.
