Site Manager | Toowoomba

The Opportunity
We're partnering with an established Queensland builder looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their Toowoomba team.

Your initial project will involve the delivery of industrial builds within a single development, with a broader pipeline spanning education, shop fit-outs, community centres and social housing.

This is a lean construction team where you won't be another number. You'll work closely with the Project Manager and Construction Manager, have genuine ownership of your site and be visible within the wider business.

About the Role
As Site Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the project, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality.

Key responsibilities include:

- Manage day-to-day site operations from commencement through to handover
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades
- Drive construction programmes and short-term look-aheads
- Manage site safety, quality and compliance
- Conduct site meetings, toolbox talks and inspections
- Work closely with the Project Manager on programme and project requirements
- Identify potential construction issues early and implement practical solutions
- Maintain strong communication with subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders
- Manage defects and project close-out





About You
We're looking for a practical Site Manager who understands how to run a site and enjoys working within a smaller, collaborative project team.

You will ideally bring:

- Previous Site Manager experience within commercial construction
- Experience across industrial, commercial or similar building projects
- Strong subcontractor management capability
- Good understanding of construction programming and sequencing
- Solid knowledge of Australian building codes, standards and WHS requirements
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to site delivery
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- QBCC Open Site Supervisor License essential
- QBCC Open Builder License highly desirable

A trade background would also be well regarded.
