With a strong focus on governance, risk management, and delivery assurance, this organisation is investing heavily in its technology landscape and is seeking an experienced Transition Assurance Analyst to support key change programs.

Your new role
As a Transition Assurance Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing independent risk and assurance oversight across technology and transformation initiatives. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and performing assurance activities themselves rather than coordinating others.You will be responsible for assessing risks, evaluating control effectiveness, identifying issues and improvement opportunities, and providing transparent governance reporting to stakeholders. Working closely with project teams, technology leaders, and risk functions, you will help ensure that key changes are delivered in a controlled and compliant manner.Key responsibilities include:

- Conducting operational and project risk assessments
- Supporting project and change risk management activities
- Performing IT General Controls (ITGC) assurance and controls testing
- Undertaking control effectiveness reviews and assurance engagements
- Managing issues, incidents, actions, and remediation tracking
- Preparing risk, assurance, and governance reporting for stakeholders




- Providing assurance support across large-scale technology and business transformation programs

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring experience gained from either:

- 2-3 years' experience within a Big 4 or mid-tier Risk Consulting practice specialising in Technology Risk, Risk Advisory, Controls Assurance, or Internal Audit; or
- 3-5 years' experience in Technology Risk, Operational Risk, Controls Assurance, Internal Audit, or related assurance functions within industry.

You will also demonstrate:
- Solid understanding of operational risk management frameworks
- Experience conducting controls testing and assurance reviews
- Knowledge of technology and project governance principles
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder engagement, and reporting skills
- The ability to work autonomously and deliver assurance activities independently

Highly desirable experience includes:
- Financial services industry experience
- Exposure to APRA-regulated environments
- Experience supporting large technology and business transformation programs
