An excellent opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to join one of Australia’s leading engineering consultancies, working from their established North Sydney office.

With a long-standing reputation in the Australian market, this consultancy delivers some of the country’s most significant and technically challenging building projects across commercial, residential, mixed-use, education, healthcare, industrial, data centres and major public developments.

The Sydney team continues to be extremely busy, with a strong forward pipeline and opportunities across a broad range of projects and clients.
This is an ideal move for an engineer looking for larger projects, greater technical exposure and genuine career progression, without becoming lost within a heavily layered corporate structure.

The Opportunity Joining an experienced structural team, you will take a key role in the design and delivery of major building projects from concept through to construction.

The business operates with a relatively flat structure, giving senior engineers strong exposure to directors, clients and project decision-making, as well as the chance to take ownership and develop their careers based on capability rather than hierarchy.

Your role will include:

- Structural analysis and design across complex building projects
- Leading packages and projects from concept through detailed design and construction
- Developing innovative, practical and commercially effective engineering solutions




- Preparing and reviewing calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation
- Coordinating with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
- Managing project programmes, budgets and technical deliverables
- Building relationships and working directly with a diverse range of clients
- Reviewing work and providing technical guidance to junior and intermediate engineers
- Supporting and mentoring developing engineers within the team
- Contributing to design reviews, project strategy and broader team development

About You We are looking for an engineer with a strong background in Australian building structures who is ready to take greater ownership of projects and continue progressing technically and professionally.
Ideally, you will bring:

- Degree qualifications in Civil / Structural Engineering
- Approximately 7+ years' structural engineering experience
- Strong Australian consultancy experience
- Experience designing larger and/or technically complex building structures
- Strong reinforced concrete and steel design capability
- Experience with software such as ETABS, SpaceGass, RAM and/or RAPT
- Good understanding of Australian Standards and local construction practices




- Experience working through design and construction stages
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- CPEng / NER accreditation, or progress towards this, will be highly regarded
