MJD Recruitment is looking for a driven and personable Recruitment Consultant to join our established Legal Support team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves building relationships, developing new business and connecting great people with great opportunities. You’ll manage the full recruitment lifecycle, working closely with leading law firms and professional services organisations across the legal market.
The Role
As a Recruitment Consultant within our Legal Support team, you’ll be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of clients and candidates while delivering an exceptional recruitment experience from start to finish.
Your role will include:

- Building and nurturing relationships with new and existing legal clients
- Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Taking detailed job briefs and providing market insights and advice
- Managing recruitment assignments from initial brief through to placement
- Sourcing, screening and interviewing high-quality legal support candidates
- Writing engaging job advertisements and developing sourcing strategies
- Preparing qualified candidate shortlists and recommendations
- Preparing candidates for interviews and managing feedback throughout the process
- Managing offers, negotiations and successful placements
- Maintaining regular contact with candidates and providing ongoing career support
- Developing a strong understanding of the legal recruitment market and emerging trends




- Maintaining accurate client, candidate and assignment information within our CRM

About You
You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing a high level of service.
Ideally, you will bring:

- Previous recruitment experience, with legal or professional services recruitment highly regarded
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- A proactive approach to business development
- Confidence working with clients and candidates at all levels
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- A commercial mindset and motivation to achieve targets
- A professional, personable and consultative approach
- The ability to work collaboratively while managing your own portfolio
