We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Grounds Keeper for a 6-8 week project supporting the maintenance of large, established campus grounds and facilities in Bundamba, with occasional travel to Springfield Lakes.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with commercial grounds keeping, landscaping or property maintenance experience. You will be responsible for maintaining extensive outdoor areas to a high standard, with the role involving much more than basic residential lawn mowing.

About the Role
Working as part of the property maintenance team, you will be responsible for the ongoing presentation, safety and upkeep of lawns, gardens and outdoor areas across the campus.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Mowing, edging, whipper snipping and general lawn maintenance
- Gardening and maintaining landscaped areas
- General grounds and property maintenance
- Operating a skid steer and other grounds maintenance equipment
- Tree and vegetation maintenance, including chainsaw work where required
- Maintaining large outdoor areas and established campus grounds
- Keeping gardens, lawns and surrounding areas protected, clean and presentable
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues as required
- Undertaking general property and grounds maintenance duties
- Occasional travel between Bundamba and Springfield Lakes
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures and site requirements

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Proven experience in commercial grounds keeping, gardening, landscaping or property maintenance
- Current C Class Driver Licence




- Current MR Driver Licence
- Skid steer licence/competency
- Completed chainsaw safety accreditation
- Current Blue Card
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal history check
- Experience operating grounds maintenance machinery and equipment
- Excellent physical fitness and the ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Proven experience with contactable referees

What We're Looking For
This role is ideal for someone who understands the difference between residential gardening and large-scale grounds/property maintenance.
You will be working across established campus grounds and need to be comfortable managing larger areas, operating machinery and completing a range of physically demanding maintenance tasks.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, hands-on and takes pride in maintaining grounds to a high standard.
