An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Retail Property Manager, or Retail Manager looking to step up and come onboard with a highly regarded property company and manage a small portfolio of retail properties, ranging from shopping centres, shopping strips, retail premises and property development sites.

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, you will be assisting with the day-to-day operations of the portfolio, with a big focus on compliance and facilities management as well as administration. You will assist in collecting sales figures, chasing up arrears, dealing with tenant/customer queries, facilities and any compliance or safety requirements.

Key responsibilities:

- First point of contact and/or escalation point for general enquiries from retail tenants, asset owners, and the general public
- Work with Portfolio Manager to devise a Business Plan for each property
- Rental collection and arrears management
- Rent reviews for existing tenants
- Aim to ensure all centres are fully leased at all times
- Tenant communications and matters
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Budget preparation and ensuring Opex & Capex do not exceed budget parameters
- Approval & financial controls
- Work with marketing team to prepare and implement the marketing plan and budget

The Ideal applicant will have:





- Min 2-3+ years’ experience working in a shopping centre management team either as a Retail Property Manager / Retail Manager, or an Assistant Centre Manager or Administration Manager stepping up
- Current Real Estate Salesperson Certificate
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Cirrus8 would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- High attention to detail
- Experience with financial management
- Customer focussed and able to converse directly with owners, retail tenants, service providers
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and with a passion for property
- Understanding of the Retail Property Market, the QLD Retail Shop Leases Act and its implications
