An exciting new role for an experienced Senior Civil 3D Designer with strong Civil 3D modelling capability to join a respected engineering consultancy delivering large-scale urban infrastructure and building development projects across Queensland.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of detailed civil design delivery across a range of high-profile precinct activations, commercial, residential, and mixed-use building developments.
You will work within a skilled, collaborative team of engineers and designers, supported by modern systems, clear processes, and a genuine pathway for technical and career growth in a supportive, quality-driven environment.
About the Role
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality civil design and modelling for major urban renewals, commercial precincts, and building structures.
You will be confident working across site re-shaping, public realm integration, road design, stormwater management, sewer, and water reticulation, with a solid understanding of local authority standards, building connections, and constructability requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver detailed civil design modelling using Civil 3D, supported by AutoCAD. Prepare design models and documentation for:
- Site grading and building pad earthworks using feature lines and grading tools
- Urban road alignments, streetscapes, corridors, and intersection treatments
- Stormwater management including pipe networks, WSUD, and overland flow
- Sewer and water reticulation including complex building service connections
Produce high-quality design outputs including:
- Long sections, cross sections, siteworks layouts, and construction documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, services consultants, and project managers
- Liaise with local councils, utility authorities, and external stakeholders
- Review design information and respond to construction and RFI queries
- Support design compliance, building code coordination, and timely project delivery
What You'll Bring
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Design
- Experience using Civil 3D, particularly for complex urban interfaces and corridors
- Capability delivering detailed civil models and building site documentation
