We are seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our team.

Position Responsibilities and Tasks, including but not limited to:

- Assisting Construction Managers, Architects and other construction professionals in the planning and organisation of bespoke stonework projects.
- Interpreting architectural plans, stonework designs, regulations and codes of practice relevant to residential and commercial projects.
- Preparing preliminary sketches, working drawings and specifications for bespoke stonework, including benchtops, wall cladding, stairs and other architectural stone elements.
- Preparing, editing and revising plans, drawings and technical documentation for stone fabrication and installation.
- Coordinating works programs and drawing requirements for stone fabrication and installation projects.
- Inspecting work and materials for compliance with drawings, specifications, regulations and relevant standards.




- Calculating material quantities, project costs and estimating time scales for stone fabrication and installation works.
- Collecting site measurements and relevant project data to assist in preparing and updating architectural and stonework drawings.
- Performing routine computations and plotting preliminary data to support the preparation of accurate stonework drawings and project documentation.
- Producing detailed 2D and 3D architectural and stonework drawings using CAD/AutoCAD, including layouts for stone slabs, benchtops, wall cladding and other architectural stone elements.
- Developing stone slab layouts, vein-matching plans and material quantity calculations, and liaising with saw operators to ensure drawings and cutting requirements are accurately followed during fabrication.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a closely related field
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Architectural Draftsperson or in a similar role
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience using CAD/AutoCAD software for the preparation of 2D and 3D technical drawings.
- Knowledge of stone slab layouts, vein matching and material quantity calculations for architectural stonework projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, architects, designers, builders and homeowners regarding project requirements and technical drawings.

Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $80,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
