Freighter Group is one of Australia's leading manufacturers and suppliers of transport equipment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and reliable Trades Assistant to join our Service team at our Campbelltown dealership.

About the Role
As a Trades Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our workshop by:

- Assisting technicians with servicing, repairs and trailer modifications.
- Preparing trailers for workshop repairs and customer delivery.
- Washing of Customer and Company equipment.
- Performing basic mechanical and fabrication support tasks.
- Operating workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop.
- Assisting with lifting, moving and positioning components and trailers.
- Carrying out general workshop and housekeeping duties.
- Supporting the team to ensure customer work is completed safely, efficiently and on time.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.




- A genuine interest in the heavy vehicle or automotive industry.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- A commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Positive communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- A current driver's licence (HR/HC licence or forklift licence is advantageous but not essential).

Previous experience as a Trades Assistant, Mechanical Assistant, Trailer Technician Assistant or within a heavy vehicle workshop will be highly regarded, however we are also happy to consider applicants looking to start a career in the industry.
