About the Opportunity
Our client, NORWEST, is a growing Civil Construction & Logistics Company based in the Karratha and Wickham area of Western Australia. They are currently seeking qualified and experienced Mobile Plant Operators with strong civil construction and transportation experience to join their growing team.

About the Role
As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a range of mobile plant and equipment across civil construction and logistics operations.
Key responsibilities include:

- Operate various types of mobile plant and equipment as required
- Operate loaders, graders, excavators and skid steers
- Undertake civil construction and earthworks activities
- Perform final trim work where required
- Complete all paperwork and operational documentation accurately
- Liaise professionally with long-established customers when required
- Conduct pre-start inspections and report equipment faults or maintenance requirements
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and site requirements
- Maintain plant, equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition
- Assist with general civil construction activities as required
- Work effectively with supervisors, operators and other team members
- Perform overtime when required to meet operational requirements





Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Relevant mobile plant operator tickets and/or nationally recognised competencies
- Previous experience operating mobile plant, preferably within civil construction
- Experience operating loaders, graders, excavators and skid steers
- Final trim experience is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of secure plant operation and workplace safety requirements
- Current HR Driver's Licence is preferred
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to complete paperwork and documentation accurately
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, positive and professional attitude
- Willingness to operate different types of equipment as required
- Flexibility and availability to perform overtime when required

Essential Requirements

- Relevant plant operation tickets/licences
- Demonstrated experience operating mobile plant
- Ability to meet workplace and site safety requirements
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical
- Ability to successfully complete a drug and alcohol screen
- Two contactable employment referees
