Sydney Central Hotel, managed by The Ascott Limited, now seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join as NSW Management Accountant. This full time role will report to the Financial Controller – NSW and work closely with other departments.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and analysing monthly financial reports, forecasts and management accounts to support informed business decisions.
- Monitoring financial performance, conducting variance analysis and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
- Ensuring accurate reconciliations, financial record keeping and compliance with accounting standards, policies and statutory requirements.
- Managing cash flow, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes while supporting audits, taxation obligations and internal controls.
- Partnering with operational leaders to provide commercial insights, support budgeting activities and drive continuous process improvements across the business.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role, ideally within hospitality, accommodation or a multi-site environment.
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, compliance requirements and statutory reporting obligations.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance and operational teams.
