An opportunitty has arisen for an Investment Banking Analyst with a leading platform in Sydney.
The firm has an exceptional reputation for advising major corporates, private equity investors and other sophisticated clients on complex, high-profile transactions. Its generalist model provides exposure across a broad range of industries, allowing junior bankers to develop well-rounded transaction experience without being limited to a single sector.

This role would suit someone who wants to build a long-term career in investment banking, work alongside highly regarded senior advisers and gain meaningful responsibility across the full M&A; process.
As part of a high-performing and collaborative team, you will work across buy-side and sell-side M&A;, strategic advisory and other complex corporate transactions.

Responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the execution of transactions from initial preparation through to completion

- Building and maintaining detailed financial models

- Undertaking valuation analysis, including DCF and comparable-company methodologies

- Preparing client presentations, information memoranda and transaction materials

- Conducting detailed company, industry and market research





- Supporting due diligence and managing transaction workstreams

- Working directly with senior bankers, clients and other professional advisers

- Contributing to business development, idea generation and pitch preparation

Candidate Profile
We are seeking candidates with:

- At least 18 months of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A; advisory or corporate finance

- Ideally, hands-on experience executing M&A; transactions

- Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities

- The desire to work as a generalist across a diverse range of sectors and transaction types

- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work under pressure

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- A collaborative attitude and genuine enthusiasm for advisory work

- A solid academic record

Candidates may currently be working within an investment bank, independent advisory firm or a leading Big Four corporate finance team.
