Description

The Role

a23 seek an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). This permanent full-time hybrid position is a newly created role, reporting to our Talent and Culture Manager, based in our Canberra head office.

Role responsibilities

People

- Take ownership of HR Operations including, employment contracts, subcontractor agreements, onboarding and performance frameworks.
- Develop and implement initiatives and frameworks to evolve the a23 employee value proposition (EVP) in collaboration with the Talent and Culture Manager.
- Manage employee relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR)



to resolution in accordance to best practice, Fair Work and WHS requirements.
- Partner with the Talent and Culture Manager in assisting Practice Leads in people management with a proactive, transparent and career development approach.
- Arrange and track approved training, certification achievement and development for the a23 team.

Compliance and Culture

- Develop, implement and contribute to policy and procedure improvement to promote compliance, a culture of safety and engagement.
- Develop and contribute to a23 Quality Management system through maintenance of continued improvement across cross functional workflows, ISO requirements and troubleshooting practices.
- Contribute to WHS, WHS Committee, Mental Health First Aid, First Aid and Fire Warden requirements, including injury management and return to work claims.

HR Operations

- Partner with the Talent and Culture Manager, Practice Leads, Managers and Talent Acquisition to identify, develop and attract and onboard talent ensuring process drives engagement and performance.
- Develop and implement Early Career programs across Graduate, Trainee and Work Experience.
- Contribute to continued improvement across internal and external communication frameworks to drive attraction, recognition and retention.
- Represent a23 at relevant internal and external events where suitable.

Skills And Experiences

Experience, Qualifications and Key Attributes

- Must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
- At least 3 years proven experience in a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role.




- Demonstrated experience contributing to improvement initiatives across onboarding, performance, engagement, WHS and communication.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced, growing and dynamic environment.
- Excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder management skillset with proven ability to manage multiple prioritise in parallel.
- Professional membership, such as Australian HR Institute (AHRI) would be highly regarded.
- Sound capability in Microsoft Suite (including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated experience in facilitation of training (or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) would be highly regarded.

a23 Policy Handbook and Mandatory Training
On commencing with a23, all employees and subcontractors are provided with the a23 Policy Handbook and asked to acknowledge their understanding and commitment to adhering to its policies. All employees and subcontractors are also assigned a suite of mandatory training that is required to be completed on an annual basis. All a23 workers are to take all reasonable care of their own health and safety and ensure that their actions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others.
