Role Type: 12 Month Fixed Term (Full time)
About the role:
We are looking for a Manager Sourcing and Reporting to join our Procurement and Programs team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of CSQ’s procurement activities.
This role supports the operational leadership across the procurement lifecycle by coordinating the delivery of procurement activities including reporting, strengthening governance and compliance, overseeing procurement operations and driving continuous improvement.
You will direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Procurement and Programs function and be responsible for building team capability, ensuring operational best practice and supporting consistent and efficient delivery of procurement processes in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
You will lead a small team (two direct reports) and will oversee procurement operations, reporting, supplier compliance and business systems as well as identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen data quality and support better business outcomes.
Day-to-day you will enjoy:
- Guiding and coaching direct reports, including allocating work and monitoring workloads to meet service delivery standards
- Coordinating procurement activities and ensuring key milestones and timelines are achieved
- Supporting the delivery of CSQ’s Annual Procurement Plan and maintaining solid governance across procurement activities
- Monitoring compliance with procurement policies, including AVETMISS data
- Maintaining governance registers, procurement documentation and operational records
- Chairing the Program Implementation Group, providing governance oversight of program implementation, procurement sequencing and performance alignment
- Coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) for procurement-related system enhancements
- Reviewing procurement reporting and operational performance information for quality and accuracy
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that improve governance, efficiency and customer experience
You will have:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to direct and supervise a team
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to identify operational risks
- Ability to interpret operational data and performance information to support informed decision-making
- Sound negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to build consensus
Qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of 5 years’ of related experience in the vocational education and training (VET) sector including procurement reporting and contract management with undergraduate qualifications in Business, Procurement, Commerce, Project Management, Public Administration
- Experience with contract management software systems
- Proven experience directing, supervising and developing high-performing teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and business systems, including experience using procurement, contract management and reporting systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of procurement lifecycle management, contract management and operational governance principles within a regulated or compliance-focused environment.
