About the Role
St Peters Lutheran College Springfield is seeking Expressions of Interest from dedicated and experienced Teachers to join our Secondary Years teaching team, with a particular emphasis upon the Junior High School on a Casual/Relief basis. This is your opportunity to join a collaborative teaching team and share your passion for a variety of subjects by delivering engaging, purposeful lessons that drive strong student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the relevant subject curriculum and the College's teaching framework.
- Identify diverse learning needs and plan experiences that enable all students to achieve success.

Assess and provide both positive and critical feedback that monitors progress and gives clear,
actionable steps for improvement

Support wellbeing and manage behaviour by building rapport, maintaining an orderly classroom, and following up concerns in line with policy.
- Contribute to the College community and professional practice through teamwork, cocurricular involvement, administration, supervision and ongoing development.
What You Bring
- A relevant Graduate Teaching qualification and current Queensland Teacher Registration.
- Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum development and implementation, and contemporary educational issues.
- Proven classroom teaching capability, including effective planning, delivery, classroom management, assessment and reporting.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to the College’s Christian ethos and values.
