About the Role
As a Ranger, you will play a key role in the on-ground management of Parks Victoria's estate, helping to protect and enhance some of Victoria's most treasured parks and reserves.
Based in the Warrnambool area, you'll work as part of a dedicated team delivering a diverse range of projects and services, including conservation programs, asset maintenance, visitor facility improvements, community engagement and park operations. No two days are the same, with opportunities to work on everything from walking tracks, campgrounds and visitor infrastructure through to environmental conservation initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
You will also work closely with Traditional Owners, volunteers, community groups and park visitors to help create positive experiences while protecting the natural and cultural values that make Victoria's parks so special. Rangers may also contribute to emergency response and recovery activities and support Victoria's fire management operations as required.

We work closely with Traditional Owners, volunteers, contractors and stakeholders to protect environmental values, enhance visitor experiences and maintain significant park infrastructure.

We're Looking for Someone With:
- Relevant qualifications or practical experience in environmental management, conservation and land management, natural resource management, outdoor recreation, a trade, or a related field.
- Experience delivering on-ground works, projects or operational services within parks, public land, environmental management or a similar outdoor setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with visitors, community groups, volunteers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while contributing to a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace.
- Sound problem-solving skills, initiative and the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- A current Victorian Driver Licence and the ability to work outdoors in remote locations, including undertaking rostered weekend work when required.
