The Role
Joining a large and collaborative payroll function, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and compliant processing of payroll across a diverse workforce. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and contribute to maintaining high payroll service standards throughout the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end processing of payroll for a large, multi-site employee population.
- Managing employee onboarding, terminations, and payroll-related changes.
- Interpreting and applying modern awards and enterprise agreements across various employee groups.
- Processing payroll adjustments, leave entitlements, and reconciliations.
- Investigating and resolving payroll queries and discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate employee and payroll records in line with compliance requirements.
- Assisting with payroll reporting, audits, and statutory obligations.
- Contributing to payroll system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across HR, Finance, and Operations.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years' end-to-end payroll experience within a high-volume workplace.
- Previous experience working in a multi-site organisation (highly regarded).
- Strong understanding and practical experience interpreting Awards and/or Enterprise Agreements.
- Experience using complex payroll systems and navigating large payroll environments.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a strong commitment to customer service.
