Gen Developer | APS6 Equivalent | Contract

Location: QLD | ACT | VIC | NSW | SA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid minimum 3 days/week onsite
Contract: Up to 12 months + extension options up to 24 months
Start Date: 1 October 2026
Hours: Up to 40 hours/week
Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance

We are looking for an experienced Gen Developer to join a large-scale Australian government technology workplace and contribute to the development, enhancement and maintenance of critical software systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, test, debug and maintain high-quality software
- Analyse technical requirements and design development solutions
- Provide technical advice and support across development and maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues




- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Support testing, deployment and go-live activities
- Work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders

Essential
- Minimum 2 years' experience with Gen development

Desirable
- Experience with Cuba or similar systems
- Experience with COBOL development and debugging
- Experience developing SOAP services, REST APIs and MQ
- Experience in Win32 application development
