What You'll Do:
As an Assembly Team Member, you'll be a key player in our assembly process, collaborating with a dynamic and skilled team. Your mission: to assemble top-of-the-line service vehicles and watercarts, plus a range of other Shermac products. Your craftsmanship will ensure that every component and material is expertly assembled, resulting in superior products that consistently exceed our standards and customer expectations.
- Full Time + O/T opportunities.
- $45 - $50 p/hr + penalty rates - pending experience.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of our facility and explore genuine career development options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing parts and materials for various fit-out assemblies.
- Work under the guidance of the Team Leader / Senior Team Member to assemble and install components as part of the fit-out process.
- Operate a forklift to move heavy materials and equipment safely within the workshop and surrounding yard areas.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure forklift functionality.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free workshop.
- Support safety protocols and promote a culture of safety.
- Stock control using Kanban system.
- Assist in quality control - collaborate with Team Leaders to perform inspections and checks on finished products.
- Due to the nature of the work, you may work shifts between 6am and 6pm.

What You'll Need:
- Minimum 12 months experience in a similar position within assembly and mechanical fitting
- Current forklift licence
- Excellent attention to detail
- Working at Heights
- Minimum ‘C’ Class Driver's Licence
- Working in Confined Spaces
