We are looking for a Psychologist to join the ECM Team! Immediate start available.

Offering the opportunity to work within a thriving and supportive team of passionate and experienced professionals. We have a position available across our Hamilton and Rutherford Clinics. This role reports to the Executive Manager - Allied Health, and comes with the ability to work from home one day per week, for Full Time Employees. Part Time applicants, please note the salary on offer will be pro rata. Provisional Psychologists are welcome to apply.
Educational Case Management is one of the leading private Multi-disciplinary Allied Health Professional practices within the Hunter Region which comprises a strong referral base among GPs and other health professionals. We have a highly motivated team of clinicians and staff including Psychologists, Counsellors, Behavioural Therapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants, as well as support from our wonderful Administrative Team. Our team are highly regarded in the community for their comprehensive assessments processes and reporting, accuracy in diagnosis, intervention strategies, evidence-based therapies and group work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Demonstrated competence and experience in delivering Psychological clinical services in accordance with AHPRA and Professional Practice Standards.
- Skills in the administration of psychometric, neurological, and behavioural assessments
- Demonstrate skills in a range of interventions and therapies including: CBT, ACT, EMDR, DBT.
- Skills in case conceptualization, case management, and an ability to work collaboratively with other Allied Health Professionals.
- Assist clients with a broad spectrum of clinical presentations and psychosocial challenges
- Demonstrate competence in professional clinical practice and adherence to defined practice standards and the case formulation and management of clients many with varied presentations.
- Demonstrated effective written communication skills including psychosocial assessments and reporting, comprehensive psychological reports, professional correspondence with other medical and allied health professionals, and clinical reports to professionals, and the provision of practice within the medico legal requirements.
- Demonstrated competence in communication, negotiation, consultation, and interpersonal skills to be independent in effective problem-solving including conflict resolution and to work cooperatively with ECM Multidisciplinary Team and contribute positively in all interactions at ECM.
- Provide primary consultation (if applicable), which includes the case management of clients,
ensuring assessment are appropriate, diagnosis (if appropriate) are well supported, and treatment plans personalised with specific goals.
- Provide focused psychological strategies and counselling interventions for participants as per a developed treatment plan.
- Completing reports based on assessments, therapy, support needs, strengths and weaknesses, and current capabilities.
- Development, completion, and implementation of treatment plans to assist the client in meeting their personalized and NDIS goals
- Ensure all administrative tasks (including case notes) are completed accurately and on time
- Day-to-day process of collection, use, storage and dissemination of information
- Maintain documentation in accordance with relevant legislation requirements and Educational Case Management Pty Ltd policies and procedures, including but not limited to, case notes, medication records, behaviour charts, medical and personal profiles, and reports pertaining to the progress of Clients we support as well as organisational information required
- Maintain the participant’s privacy and confidentiality
- Follow reasonable directions given by the Management team.
- Have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary allied health team. Exercise professional decision making, accessing clinical practice supervision and guidance as required.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- General Registration with AHPRA and Psychology Association
- Sound knowledge of mental health assessments, expertise in case formulation, expertise in psychometric assessments, evidence- based therapies, risk assessment and safety planning, and psychotherapies
- Relevant degree in Psychology
- Professional Liability Insurance, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR, and a clear Criminal Record.
- Determination and motivation for professional growth
- Experience in providing assessments and therapy to clients with complex (comorbid) mental health conditions including Autism, FASD, Trauma, Developmental Delays, Anxiety and Depression, Learning and Language disorders and impaired adaptive functioning.
- Have an ability to maintain professional independence and work in a self-directed manner
