About the Role:

AAM Investment Group is seeking an experienced Cook starting ASAP join our team at Limbunya Station, located in the Victoria River Region of the Northern Territory.

This is a seasonal position with an immediate start, running through until approximately November/December 2026, with the opportunity to return for the 2027 season starting March/April 2027.

This is a hands-on role responsible for providing nutritious, homestyle meals for approximately 16 station employees and visitors, while maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.

Working on a remote cattle station offers a unique lifestyle and the opportunity to become an important part of a close-knit station team. We are looking for someone who is organised, self-sufficient and takes pride in providing quality meals.

What you'll be responsible for:

- Planning and preparing nutritious, homestyle meals for approximately 16 employees and station visitors

- Preparing a variety of meals, including baking and other home-style cooking

- Planning menus and coordinating food and kitchen requirements

- Ordering and managing food, ingredients and kitchen supplies

- Managing food preparation and supplies within an agreed budget

- Maintaining appropriate stock levels and minimising food waste

- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety across the kitchen and food preparation areas

- Ensuring the kitchen is maintained to standards expected of a commercial food preparation setting

- Working independently while contributing positively to the broader station team

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently and enjoys being part of a remote, operational environment. Our ideal candidate will have:

- Previous experience cooking or catering for groups

- Strong homestyle cooking and baking skills





- The ability to plan and prepare varied and nutritious meals

- Good organisational and time management skills

- An understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements

- The ability to manage food supplies and meal preparation within an agreed budget

- The ability to work effectively with limited supervision

- A practical, flexible approach and willingness to contribute to station life

Previous experience working on a cattle station, rural property or in another remote environment would be highly regarded but is not essential.

About Limbunya Station

Limbunya Station is a 520,000-hectare cattle station located approximately 650km southwest of Katherine and 100km from the Western Australian border.

The station runs approximately 50,000 head of cattle and is located within the Victoria River Region, an impressive part of the Northern Territory characterised by natural valleys, gorges, creeks and expansive landscapes.
