We are looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Reception & Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This is a varied role combining front desk administration, patient care and chairside dental assisting, making it ideal for someone who loves working with people, enjoys variety and takes pride in delivering a 5-star patient experience.

You will work alongside a world class Orthodontist and a supportive team in a state of the art practice, with access to ongoing training, professional development and genuine opportunities to grow your career within the practice as the business continues to expand.

About the Role:

As a Reception & Dental Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring our clinics run smoothly and that every patient feels welcomed, supported and cared for.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming patients and families with warmth and professionalism.

- Responding to new patient enquiries and creating a WOW experience from the very first hello.

- Answering phones, booking appointments and assisting front desk administration.

- Nurturing current patient enquiries and leads.

- Discussing treatment options, payment plans and financial arrangements with patients as required.

- Developing an understanding of orthodontic treatment so you can confidently support and educate patients.

- Building strong relationships with patients, families and team members.

- Preparing treatment rooms and assisting our Orthodontist and OHT's chairside.

- Assisting with orthodontic procedures and day-to-day clinical operations.

- Sterilising instruments and maintaining high standards of infection control.

- Maintaining the organisation, cleanliness and presentation of the practice.





- Supporting local community and marketing initiatives.

- Helping patients navigate their treatment journey and understand our services and payment options.

- Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the practice operates efficiently.

- Taking on additional responsibilities and developing new skills as you grow within the practice.

You will ideally:

- Have experience in reception, dental, healthcare or customer service.

- Have excellent communication and people skills.

- Be confident interacting with both children and adults.

- Be comfortable adapting your communication style to different personalities.

- Be confident discussing payment plans and financial arrangements.

- Be comfortable learning and using new technology.

- Be curious, proactive and willing to ask “why?” and “how?” when learning.

- Have excellent organisation and time-management skills.

- Have strong attention to detail and take pride in completing tasks to a high standard.

- Demonstrate kindness, empathy and compassion towards patients and colleagues.

- Understand the importance of first impressions, personal presentation and impeccable hygiene.

- Be adaptable and willing to learn different aspects of the practice.

- Be motivated to develop professionally and take on greater responsibility over time.

Previous dental or orthodontic experience is preferred, but not essential. We are also interested in candidates with outstanding customer service,



reception or people skills who are looking to build a career in orthodontics.

The Finer Details:

This position is full-time (9 days per fortnight).

You will work across our Pakenham, Mulgrave and Warragul locations, according to the fortnightly roster.

Rostered hours: 7:45am – 5:15pm

Days: To be discussed with the successful candidate.
