Trainers and Assessors – Community Services

About LearnEd Training
LearnEd Training is an established Registered Training Organisation that has been delivering vocational education and training for more than a decade since 2012.
We are seeking multiple experienced and passionate Trainers and Assessors to join our Perth-based team on a contract basis.
We are recruiting trainers for the following qualifications:
- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support
- CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health
- CHC40421 Certificate IV in Youth Work
- CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services
Applicants may apply to deliver one or more of these qualifications. Please clearly identify the qualification or qualifications for which you have suitable vocational competency, industry experience and currency.
These positions involve face-to-face delivery and assessment in Perth. You will play an important role in helping learners develop the practical skills, knowledge and confidence required to succeed in the community services sector.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, contextualise and deliver engaging face-to-face training in accordance with the approved training and assessment strategy.
- Conduct fair, valid, reliable and versatile competency-based assessments.
- Monitor learner participation, progress and support requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment outcomes and learner progress.
- Ensure training and assessment practices meet current RTO, regulatory and industry requirements.
- Maintain current vocational knowledge and industry currency.
- Collaborate with other trainers and staff to ensure consistency in training and assessment.
- Support learners from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and those with additional learning needs.
Essential requirements
- A training and assessment credential that meets current RTO requirements, such as TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- A relevant vocational qualification at least equivalent to the qualification being delivered.
- Current and relevant industry experience in individual support, mental health, youth work, community services or a related field.
- Demonstrated vocational competency across the units you will deliver and assess.
- Previous experience delivering and assessing nationally recognised training.
- Sound knowledge of the Australian vocational education and training sector.
Desirable attributes
- Experience delivering face-to-face community services qualifications.
- Experience using student management systems and learning management systems.
- Experience contextualising training and assessment resources.
- Current connections with community services employers or industry organisations.
- Experience supporting learners during work placement.
