Who we are

The Corporate and Research Division partners with business areas across the ACMA, to provide enterprise wide enabling services and strategic advice so that the ACMA can achieve its purpose. The Division facilitates this through the delivery of key corporate functions including financial management, property services, security, procurement advice, performance reporting, research and data, digital and technology services, human resources, communications, and governance services.

The Finance, Reporting and Operations Branch is responsible for ensuring the financial sustainability and security of the ACMA through financial, procurement, facilities, travel and physical security services. The Branch proactively engages with business areas to provide advice, and financial and business performance reporting to drive strategic decision making and support the broader organisation. The Branch also provides assurance over the various revenue streams collected on behalf of the Commonwealth and leads the development of a range of budget and financial governance arrangements.

The Revenue, Cost Recovery and Reporting Section leads the administration of revenue collected on behalf of the Australian Government through taxes, levies, fees and charges. The section also manages the development,



consultation and publication of Cost Recovery Implementation Statements (CRIS), provides financial accounting and compliance services including annual financial statements, taxation and audit liaison, and delivers executive reporting to support informed decision-making.

The key duties of the position include:

- Coordinate and manage key cost recovery processes, including monthly activity surveys, and maintenance of the ACMA activity register.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the ACMA’s Activity Based Management (ABM) framework, including data collection, analysis and documentation.
- Provide accurate, timely and practical advice to internal and external stakeholders on cost recovery matters.
- Contribute to the preparation of CRIS and Fee Analysis Statements, ensuring compliance with legislative, policy and governance requirements.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders across government, industry and the ACMA to support effective cost recovery outcomes.
- Apply and maintain knowledge of the Australian Government Charging Framework and associated cost recovery policies to support informed decision-making and compliance.
- Contribute to the development and review of cost recovery policies,



procedures, Accountable Authority Instructions (AAIs) and guidance materials, identifying opportunities to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
- Support a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and undertaking other duties as required.

Eligibility

To be eligible for employment with the ACMA, applicants must be Australian citizens.

The successful candidates will also be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance. More information on the security clearance vetting process is available on the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) website.

Notes

Suitable candidates will be placed in a merit pool from this selection process and may be used to fill similar ongoing or non-ongoing roles in other areas of ACMA. Non-ongoing opportunities may be offered as a specified term.
