About the Role

Crofts Automotive Repairs is seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic / Automotive Mechanic to join their team in Mount Barker, WA.

The role would suit someone who is confident across general servicing, diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance. The successful candidate will be hands-on, reliable, and able to work to a high standard in a busy workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on light vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical faults
- Perform inspections and identify required repairs
- Complete preventative maintenance and general workshop repairs
- Work across engines, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and driveline components




- Maintain accurate job records and communicate repair requirements clearly
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with safety procedures
- Provide reliable support to the workshop team and customers

Skills and Experience Required

- Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, or equivalent
- Previous workshop experience in servicing, diagnostics, and repairs
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Positive communication skills and a professional attitude
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and reliability
- Current driver's licence
- Australian work rights preferred
- Sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate
