Job Description

An exciting chance has become available for an experienced Maintainer Electrical to join our dynamic and successful team. Reporting directly to the Electrical Supervisor, you will play a key role in safely and effectively maintaining and supporting the electrical systems across our site to a high standard and meet required targets. This multifaceted role will involve working on a diverse range of equipment including:

ShovelsElectric Drive TrucksAll associated mine infrastructure

You will be relied upon to diagnose complex electrical faults, make safe and effective decisions in the field, and support production-critical assets.

About The Candidate

The successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience to the role:





Relevant Electrical qualificationMining Equipment OEM Training and experienceExperience in maintaining Electric Rope ShovelsExperience in maintaining Electric Drive TrucksOpen Cut Coal Mining experienceHV Switching authorisationMaintenance and fault-finding on HV infrastructure including substations, switchgear, power reticulation, trailing cables and mine-wide power distribution systems.Experience with Operational Technology (OT) Systems (desirable)Demonstrated exposure to computerised maintenance management systems and knowledge of SAP (desirable)Ability to work well in a dynamic team environmentA current and valid Australian Driver’s licenceHigh Risk Work Licences such as Forklift, EWP & Working at Heights will be highly regardedYou have a willingness to contribute to a winning team, whilst also focusing on your personal and professional development

We are only a one and quarter hour drive from the beautiful Mackay hinterland and a two- and half-hour drive from Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands and have a diverse group of people at our operation commuting from multiple locations in Queensland such as Rockhampton and Townsville, to name a few. Commercial Flight Support is available per written request for senior staff members and above, for flights from Mackay (MKY) to Brisbane (BNE) return.
