About the Role

Take the wheel of a modern IVECO and build a rewarding career with one of Australia’s leading logistics companies. We are seeking reliable and motivated full-time HC AND MC Truck Drivers for day and afternoon shifts, delivering general freight across metropolitan Adelaide to a diverse portfolio of valued SCT customers. You will enjoy local routes, quality equipment maintained to high industry standards,



and the stability of returning to our Penfield depot after every shift.

Day shift: 6.00 am–2.30 pm

Afternoon shift: 2.30 pm–10.30 pm

A forklift licence will be highly regarded, with opportunities to support our warehouse team during quieter periods and overtime shifts—adding variety to your work and broadening your experience.

Your base: SCT Logistics’ Penfield depot, where every shift begins and ends.

Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

- Keep Adelaide moving by delivering SCT trailers and containers safely and efficiently to metropolitan distribution centres
- Take charge of yard movements, including positioning containers and trailers with care and precision
- Start each shift ready to roll by completing vehicle inspections and maintaining accurate logs, run sheets and proof-of-delivery records
- Check freight for non-conformance such as damage and quantity discrepancies
- Protect every journey by securing loads and meeting Chain of Responsibility, NHVR, load restraint, legislative and SCT safety requirements




- Adhere to all SCT and Customer site rules at all times
- Create a great customer experience with a customer focus approach
- Use technology such as MTData or a comparable fleet management system to keep operations connected and real time reporting

Essential Licences, Experience and Requirements

To be successful, you must:

- Hold a current HC or MC licence, fatigue management certification and at least two years’ metropolitan commercial driving experience
- Confidently reverse, hitch and unhitch trailers at container docks, with a strong commitment to safe and professional vehicle operation
- Be physically capable of pulling curtains, securing loads and completing other hands-on duties
- Successfully complete a pre-employment commercial driver medical and fitness assessment and be eligible to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance
- Bring a reliable, positive and professional approach, with the ability to stay organised and adapt to changing operational priorities
