Inland Truck Centres is expanding rapidly, and we're looking for an experienced and motivated Service Advisor / Workshop Foreman to join our Dubbo team.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, leadership skills, and a customer-focused approach to play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our workshop. You'll be responsible for coordinating service work, supporting technicians, communicating with customers, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are maintained.

About the Role
As the Service Advisor / Workshop Foreman,
you will be responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations while acting as the primary point of contact for service customers.
You will lead and support technicians and apprentices, coordinate workflow, communicate repair requirements, manage customer expectations, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Service Advisor Duties
- Greet customers and coordinate vehicle service bookings.
- Open and process repair orders and job cards.
- Prepare service quotes and customer invoices.
- Communicate repair requirements, progress updates, and completion timeframes with customers.
- Identify upselling opportunities and additional repair requirements.
- Order service parts and liaise with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Ensure warranty jobs are correctly identified and processed.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Work closely with the Accounts Department regarding customer accounts and approvals.
- Deliver exceptional customer service from vehicle reception through to handover.
Workshop Foreman Duties
- Supervise and support workshop technicians and apprentices.
- Allocate work and monitor workshop productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure repairs are completed to the highest quality standards while minimising rework.
- Monitor technician job stories and repair order accuracy.
- Ensure workshop housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Promote and enforce Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
- Ensure compliance with OEM warranty procedures and service standards.
- Assist with manufacturer recall campaigns and product upgrade programs.
- Support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day operation of the service department.
- Assist with technical troubleshooting and workshop problem-solving when required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Foreman, Leading Hand, Workshop Controller, or similar role.
- Solid understanding of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Sound computer literacy and administration skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
- Experience with Kenworth, DAF, PACCAR, or Cummins products will be highly regarded.
- Current driver's licence required.
