With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, we are seeking experienced Carpenters for an immediate start.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The candidate is expected to perform the following:
- Accurately read and interpreted for Construction (IFC) drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure correct execution of works.
- Select, cut and assemble timber and proprietary formwork materials suitable for high-pressure concrete pours and harsh civil site conditions.
- Set out, assemble, install, and dismantle formwork systems for concrete structures in accordance with engineering drawings, project specifications, and Australian Standards.
- Build temporary support structures,
bracing systems, access platforms, and edge protection to maintain structural stability and site safety during concrete pours and grouting operations.
- Inspect formwork for correct alignment, levels, dimensions, and stability, and complete required pre-pour checklists and quality documentation.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor junior carpenters and labourers, coordinate daily tasks, and support efficient and productive workflows on site.
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations, site safety plans, and company policies, actively promoting a secure working environment.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical and construction-related issues on-site to minimise delays and maintain project timelines.
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers and other trades to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery of project milestones.
Successful applicants will need to demonstrate the following:
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ relevant experience in Carpentry
- Knowledge of construction sites best practices and safety procedures.
- White Card – Work Safety in the Construction Industry
- Relevant carpentry qualification is preferred
- PPE (long sleeve, long pants, hard hat, hi-vis & steel cap boots)
