We are seeking a passionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Rehabilitation Ward at St John of God Ballarat Hospital on a permanent part time or causal basis.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans. Support patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals and maximise independence in daily activities and mobility. Administer medications safely and effectively, monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changes in clinical condition.



Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, doctors, allied health professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes. Encourage and support patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation program and care planning. Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment, recovery, medications and discharge requirements. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide clear, timely clinical handover. Contribute to safe and effective discharge planning and continuity of care. Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control and clinical safety. Contribute to a positive team culture and exceptional patient experience.

To succeed in this role, you will have well-developed clinical assessment, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide secure, compassionate and patient-centred care in a rehabilitation environment. You will demonstrate sound clinical judgement, strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills, together with a commitment to teamwork, clinical excellence and supporting patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

You will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, along with recent clinical experience in an acute, rehabilitation or relevant healthcare environment. Previous rehabilitation nursing experience will be highly regarded; however,



we are also interested in Registered Nurses with strong clinical skills who are looking to develop their career within rehabilitation nursing.

The Benefits:
