Etch Coatings part of the Simmonds Group, WA-owned powder coating and industrial coatings company based in Wangara. We specialize in powder coating, sandblasting, spray painting and protective coatings for a wide range of steel and fabricated products.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with forklift, dispatch, warehouse or manufacturing experience who is happy to work across different areas of our powder-coating operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate a forklift to load, unload and move materials and finished products.

- Load and unload trucks, trailers and shipping containers.

- Pick, prepare, pack and organize customer orders for dispatch.

- Assist with loading and unloading products from the powder-coating line.

- Assist with general powder-coating and production duties as required.

- Operate an overhead crane, or undertake training if required.

- Ensure completed orders are correctly prepared and meet customer requirements.

- Handle steel products, including sheets, lengths, tube and fabricated components.

- Liaise with the Production Supervisor to ensure jobs are ready for dispatch and delivery schedules are met.

- Complete dispatch and delivery paperwork accurately.

- Assist with receiving incoming materials and organizing stock within the yard and workshop.

- Report damaged products, tools, equipment or PPE.

- Maintain a clean, safe and organized yard, warehouse and workshop.

- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

- Perform other general production,



yard and dispatch duties as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and hands-on, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

- Current Forklift License (LF) – essential.

- Previous experience in dispatch, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or a workshop environment is highly regarded.

- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.

- Ability to safely load and unload trucks and containers.

- Good attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

- Experience handling steel or other large/heavy products is advantageous.

- Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Willingness to assist across different areas of the workshop.

- Previous powder-coating experience is not essential, as training can be provided to the right candidate.
