About the Role

The Programs Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination and operational delivery of Legacy WA’s community programs, camps, workshops and events. The role ensures that programs are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with organisational governance, risk management and quality standards.

The Programs Coordinator coordinates the operational delivery of programs, including programs delivered by qualified clinicians or specialist facilitators, ensuring appropriate governance, compliance, logistics and stakeholder engagement are in place. Working collaboratively within the Community Services team, you will provide support to the families of veterans using case management approaches.

Based in West Perth with regular travel to Busselton, the role requires a hands-on approach to program delivery, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work across both group-based and individual support services.

Key responsibilities:

- Coordinate the end-to-end planning and delivery of Legacy WA community programs, camps, workshops and events.





- Ensure programs operate in accordance with organisational policies, child safety standards, governance requirements and legislative obligations.

- Coordinate the operational delivery of Legacy WA camp programs from planning through to evaluation.

- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, in particular with Australian Defence Force representatives, partner organisations, suppliers and community stakeholders.

- Coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, induction and rostering of volunteers and coordinate the rostering of Legacy WA employees.

- Assist with program budgeting and monitor expenditure against approved budgets.

- Contribute to funding acquittals, program reporting and future program planning.

- Undertake intake, assessment, and case management for individuals and families as required.

About You

You will bring:

- Demonstrated experience coordinating programs, events, camps or community initiatives.

- Experienced managing multiple projects, competing priorities and complex logistics.

- Strong understanding of governance, risk management, workplace health and safety and child-protected practices.

- Demonstrated ability to coordinate volunteers, contractors and external service providers.





- Excellent organisational planning and project management skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build productive stakeholder relationships.

- Experience preparing reports, maintaining records and monitoring budgets.

- Proficiency using Microsoft Office and program management or event management systems.

- Current or willingness to obtain Australian Driver's Licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.

Desirable

- Qualifications in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology or related field.

- First Aid certification.

- Experience supporting families affected by trauma or loss.

- Experience with camp management systems or digital tools.

- Lived experience as a veteran.

Additional requirements

- Ability to travel including overnight stays as required by the relevant programs (for example, overnight stays during Kids Camps)
