Position title: Recruitment Advisor
Employment Type: Permanent – Kalgoorlie Residential OR 1-Year Fixed Term – FIFO ex Perth
Norton Gold Fields is seeking an experienced Recruitment Advisor to join our HR team and support recruitment activities across our growing mining operations.
This is a flexible opportunity depending on your location:
- Kalgoorlie-based applicants: Permanent position
- FIFO applicants: 1-year fixed-term contract, with the potential to transition to a permanent position subject to business requirements

About the role
Reporting to the Recruitment Supervisor, you will act as the key recruitment contact for designated areas of the business, managing recruitment activities from initial workforce planning through to onboarding.
You will work closely with hiring managers and HR colleagues to deliver timely, compliant and high-quality recruitment outcomes across a range of operational and corporate roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment including job advertisements, candidate sourcing, CV screening, interviews, reference checks and pre-employment activities.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and deliver effective recruitment solutions.
- Support recruitment campaigns, volume recruitment and workforce attraction initiatives.
- Coordinate overseas recruitment and work/visitor visa applications where required.
- Maintain accurate recruitment trackers, candidate records and recruitment reporting.
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with Australian employment legislation, company policies and internal procedures.
- Support the development and review of position descriptions, recruitment templates and employment documentation.
- Coordinate closely with HR Administration and hiring departments to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.
- Provide recruitment updates, market insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation and recruitment practices.
- Contribute to HR projects, process improvements and other HR initiatives as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, commercially minded and comfortable working in a rapid-paced mining environment. You will have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
You will ideally have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (Desirable)
- At least 3 years of experience in recruitment or a similar HR role.
- Knowledge of Australian employment legislation and recruitment compliance.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A professional approach with a strong commitment to confidentiality.
- Bilingual communication skills in English and Chinese are highly regarded.
- Current unrestricted WA C Class driver's licence.
