Sacca Heavy Repairs is seeking an experienced Field Service Auto Electrician to join our team working across major mining operations throughout the Bowen Basin. This role will see you working on some of the largest mining equipment in the industry, particularly large mining excavators from OEMs including CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi and Liebherr.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tradesperson looking to work with a highly capable team delivering shutdown support, repairs, relocations and major component work on heavy mining equipment.

A dual trade (Auto Electrician / Diesel Fitter) would be highly regarded but is not essential.

Role requirements:

- Provide breakdown support, service and repairs on Liebherr 9800, CAT 6060,6040 and Hitachi 5600 excavators.

- Demonstrate an understanding of diagnostics, problem solving and fault finding.

- Conduct both minor and major shutdowns.

- Hardworking approach - reliable and able to work effectively when unsupervised

- High standard of work quality at all times

- Commitment to safety and teamwork

- Able to supply clean D&A; upon request

- Must be an Australian resident

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose, repair and maintain electrical systems on heavy mining and civil equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, etc.)

- Carry out fault finding, wiring, testing and installations to OEM standards





- Perform electrical diagnostics using contemporary tooling and diagnostic software

- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company procedures

- Complete accurate service reports and digital inspections

- Work collaboratively with the mechanical team to support repairs and rebuilds

Applicants to provide:

- Minimum 2 years post trade experience – essential

- Australian Trade Certificate is required

- Proven experience working on heavy mobile mining equipment

- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with electrical and electronic systems

- Current driver’s license – essential

- Beneficial tickets, such as Forklift, EWP and working with heights – preferred
