As part of our continued growth, Coastal Transport Services has expanded into the local area and is seeking experienced Rigid Crane Truck Drivers to join our team on an exciting new transport contract. Operating a brand-new fleet of trucks, you'll enjoy stable, ongoing work with the support of an experienced operations team and a company that values safety, teamwork and professionalism.
Heavy Rigid Driver – HIAB
Requirements
- Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence with demonstrated on-road driving experience.
- Current CV (Vehicle Loading Crane) High Risk Work Licence, with experience.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual unloading of freight when required.
- Ability to safely operate a HIAB crane and secure loads in accordance with company procedures.
What you'll be doing
- Safely operate heavy vehicles to deliver freight across the local area.
- Complete deliveries safely, on time and with exceptional customer service.
- Conduct pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Complete delivery documentation accurately- use of technology required
- Load and unload freight using a HIAB crane and manual handling techniques where required.
- Secure loads and comply with all Chain of Responsibility (CoR), road transport legislation and company safety procedures.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure efficient daily schedules.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in the transport and logistics industry- experience carting steel is highly regarded.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Robust time management and organisational skills.
- Current Service NSW Driving Record.
- White Card.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical (fitness to drive) and drug & alcohol screening.
