Wellbean Co, a social enterprise of the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, is looking for a Cook to join our growing production kitchen team.

The opportunity

This is a hands-on role within a structured production kitchen workplace, offering consistent daytime hospitality hours and the opportunity to play an important role in supporting multiple Wellbean Co cafe locations.

Based primarily at our Baillie Henderson Campus Production Kitchen, you'll help prepare, pack and dispatch fresh food to our cafe network while supporting the systems that keep daily operations running smoothly.

How will you do this

This is a practical role focused on food preparation, production support and logistics. You'll work closely with the Production Kitchen team to prepare food, maintain quality standards, support stock movement between sites, and ensure products are ready for service each day.

You'll work across two key areas:

· Food production and kitchen operations

· Delivery, dispatch and site support

This variety provides:

You will do this by….

· Preparing sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast items, cabinet items, catering items and simple hot food components

· Following recipes, production sheets and food safety procedures

· Assisting with batch production, portioning, packing,



labelling and quality checks

· Preparing food orders for delivery across Wellbean Co locations

· Applying correct date labels, allergen information and product identification

· Supporting stock rotation, storage and deliveries

· Assisting with transporting food, stock, crates, eskies and supplies between sites

· Maintaining clean, organised and food-safe work areas

· Completing cleaning, dishwashing and kitchen reset tasks

· Communicating stock shortages, production issues or food safety concerns promptly

· Supporting a consistent and efficient production environment

About You

· Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, cafe, catering or food production environment is essential

· Practical food preparation or cooking experience

· Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

· Ability to follow recipes, systems and production procedures accurately

· Reliable, punctual and able to work independently when required

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

· Current driver's licence

· Able to safely lift and move stock, crates, eskies and supplies

· Enjoys working within structured systems and processes





· Positive team player with a strong work ethic

Food safety qualifications and high-volume production kitchen experience are advantageous, but not essential.
