Your role

As an Independent Speech Pathologist, you will:

- Manage and grow your own NDIS participant caseload

- Build relationships with Support Coordinators, plan managers, providers, families and participants

- Complete speech, language, communication and swallowing assessments within your scope of practice

- Develop person-centred therapy plans and measurable goals

- Deliver individual therapy in-home, in the community or via telehealth where clinically appropriate

- Assess and support Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) needs where within your competence

- Develop mealtime management or dysphagia recommendations where appropriately qualified and competent

- Prepare NDIS reports,



progress reports and review documentation

- Provide training and education to families, carers and support teams

- Complete professional case notes and clinical documentation

- Manage your own diary, travel and appointments

- Maintain professional, NDIS and Speech Pathology Australia requirements applicable to your practice

- Deliver evidence-informed, participant-centred supports

Who we’re looking for

We’re seeking speech pathologists who are ambitious, independent and committed to delivering high-quality NDIS supports.

You will ideally have:

- Recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology

- Current eligibility for or membership with Speech Pathology Australia, preferably Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status

- Experience working with NDIS participants or in disability/community practice

- Strong assessment, therapy planning and report writing skills

- Understanding of communication, swallowing and disability support needs relevant to your scope

- Understanding of NDIS funding and participant-centred practice

- Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload

- Existing referral pathways or confidence to build your own caseload

- ABN with Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance

- Current Police Check

- First Aid & CPR

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Working With Children Check where required

- NDIS Worker Orientation Module

- Reliable internet, equipment and transport where community visits are undertaken
