Quality Engineer – Project Close-Out

Perth Metro | 6–8 week contract | Immediate start

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our project team in the Perth metropolitan area and assist with the final close-out and handover of a civil construction project.

This is a short-term, hands-on contract for someone who can start immediately, work through outstanding quality requirements and help bring the project to a clean and timely completion.

The role

Working closely with the Project Manager, site team and client representatives, you will take ownership of outstanding quality documentation and project close-out activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing and closing out Inspection and Test Plans

- Compiling quality records and final handover documentation

- Coordinating the close-out of defects, punch-list items and outstanding works

- Managing non-conformance reports and corrective actions

- Reviewing test results, inspection records and construction documentation

- Coordinating as-built drawings and supporting documentation

- Identifying gaps in quality records and following up with the relevant parties

- Liaising with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and client representatives

- Assisting with the preparation and submission of the final MDR and handover package

- Ensuring all documentation meets contract, client and project requirements





- Maintaining accurate quality registers and reporting close-out progress

About you

You will ideally have:

- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer on civil or infrastructure projects

- Strong experience with project completion, handover and quality close-out

- A thorough understanding of ITPs, NCRs, test records and MDR compilation

- Excellent document-control and record-management skills

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify documentation gaps

- The confidence to follow up outstanding actions and drive them through to completion

- Transparent written and verbal communication skills

- A relevant engineering or construction qualification

- Australian construction experience and full working rights

- Availability to commence immediately

You will be organised, proactive and comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-moving project environment.
