Dental Practice Manager

Full-time | Central Coast | Senior leadership role

We’re looking for an experienced Dental Practice Manager to join our multidisciplinary dental team. This is a senior leadership role for someone who enjoys leading people, improving operations and delivering an exceptional patient experience. You’ll be supported by the practice owner and leadership team, with the ability to take ownership and contribute to the future growth of the practice.

Locally owned and established for over 30 years, we are a comprehensive dental practice providing general, preventative, cosmetic, restorative, implant, oral surgery, orthodontic and IV sedation dental services.

We are a busy and growing, patient-focused practice with a solid focus on clinical quality and innovation. We have an experienced team with a supportive and friendly workplace culture. We are QIP Accredited.

About the role

As Practice Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operations of our busy practice:

- Lead, mentor and support the team across recruitment, onboarding, rostering, performance management, training and development.

- Run morning huddles and staff meetings.

- Continue to build on our positive, supportive and solutions-focused team culture.

- Oversee daily operations including multiple practitioner schedules, patient management, treatment coordination and reception processes.

- Monitor practice performance and finances, including KPIs and budgets, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

- Oversee patient accounts and financial administration,



including billing and payment reconciliation and debtor management.

- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and workflows, and put practical solutions in place.

- Maintain a consistently high patient experience and respond to feedback. Monitor patient retention, rebooking and recall performance to identify opportunities to improve patient satisfaction and ongoing engagement.

- Strictly oversee quality assurance, Accreditation requirements, sterilisation and infection control.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant workplace legislation, privacy obligations and practice policies.

- Work with the owner and leadership team on business initiatives, marketing and future projects.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for a highly organised and professional Practice Manager who is an exceptional communicator, calm and considered under pressure, proactive rather than reactive, and commercially aware:

- 3–5+ years’ previous dental practice management experience.

- Experience leading people, systems and processes in a busy practice.

- Strong experience with rostering multiple practitioner schedules, coordinating teams and managing performance.

- Excellent organisational, communication,



time-management and problem-solving skills.

- Strong interpersonal awareness and emotional intelligence, with a calm and fair leadership style.

- Confidence making decisions and managing difficult conversations.

- A proactive approach to improving processes, taking responsibility and seeing tasks through to completion.

- Strong computer skills and confidence using dental practice management software.

- A strong understanding of dental practice compliance, privacy, infection control and workplace requirements.

- A team player who contributes to a collaborative workplace.
