Work Health and Safety Officer

Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) | Newman

PAMS is seeking a Work Health and Safety Officer to provide organisation-wide WHS advice, systems support, reporting oversight, and compliance monitoring across our clinics, offices, accommodation, vehicles, outreach, and community-based environments.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing practical WHS advice and support across all PAMS sites
- Coordinating hazard and incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
- Monitoring WHS trends and preparing reports
- Assisting with audits, inspections, and compliance activities
- Maintaining WHS records and documentation
- Supporting WHS training, inductions, and safety culture initiatives

About You

You will have:

- Experience in WHS, risk, compliance, or a similar role
- Knowledge of the WHS Act 2020 (WA) and WHS principles
- Strong reporting, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience with incident management, audits, and compliance systems
- The ability to work collaboratively and support a proactive safety culture




- Willingness to travel to remote communities as required

An understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively in a multicultural environment is essential.

- Salary: $93,092.43 - $110,564.61 plus 12% superannuation
